Tukdam – Between Worlds

Death is often viewed as a straightforward event, but this documentary challenges that notion by delving into the extraordinary phenomenon of tukdam. Tibetan Buddhists describe this state where advanced meditators consciously transition from life, remaining seated in meditation with their bodies surprisingly fresh for days or even weeks post-mortem. Through pioneering scientific research and personal narratives of Tibetan practitioners, the film weaves together contrasting scientific and spiritual viewpoints, aiming to unlock the enigma surrounding tukdam and redefine our understanding of life and death.
