Highway to the Arctic

Each winter, the Northwest Territories in Canada's Far North undergoes a stunning transformation. Snow blankets the ground, and lakes freeze beneath thick ice, rendering traditional land transport impossible. In this harsh yet breathtaking environment, ice roads emerge, creating vast, navigable corridors across the frozen landscape. For decades, this seasonal shift has shaped the lives of those who traverse these icy pathways, revealing the resilience of both nature and the people who depend on it. The film captures this unique phenomenon, highlighting the challenges and beauty of a winter wonderland where survival and adventure intertwine.
