In a quiet German suburb, a distracted babysitter prioritizes her own teenage life over the children in her care, leading to the disappearance of a young girl. As panic ensues, the family and community choose to bury the truth rather than confront the chilling reality of the situation. This decision fosters an atmosphere of denial, where the horror remains concealed beneath a facade of normalcy, ultimately revealing the darker side of human nature and the lengths to which people will go to avoid facing their fears.
