The Flicker presents a unique cinematic experience through its innovative use of alternating black and white frames. This avant-garde film challenges traditional storytelling by immersing viewers in a rhythmic interplay of light and shadow, creating an almost hypnotic effect. As the visuals shift between stark contrasts, the audience is invited to reflect on perception and the nature of film itself. Its experimental approach not only captivates but also provokes thought, making it a notable work of 1960s cinema that pushes the boundaries of artistic expression.
