Cristina, a secretary in her mid-30s, navigates the isolating and harsh environment of Bucharest, grappling with the complexities of adulthood, including bills and ambitions, all while longing to please her single mother who raised her. Meanwhile, she exists as a character in a novel being adapted into a film by a theatre director. As the cast immerses themselves in the story, their diverse backgrounds and personal motivations intertwine with the narrative, challenging and transforming it into something uniquely theirs. This fusion creates a captivating blend of reality and fiction.
