Clemson Reade, a driven businessman eager to settle down, finds himself at odds with his modern girlfriend, U.S. diplomat Effie, who prioritizes work over romance. When he encounters the enchanting Princess Tarji, raised to captivate men, he yearns for a more traditional partner. Hailing from the oil-wealthy kingdom of Bukistan, Tarji’s marriage to Clemson could impact international relations. To ensure everything runs smoothly, the State Department appoints Effie to oversee the courtship, creating a tangled web of professional duty and personal feelings as the wedding approaches.
