Ben and Me

A small mouse moves in with Benjamin Franklin and becomes the unexpected source behind many of his greatest ideas—even sparking the writing of the Declaration of Independence. This retelling offers a playful, revisionist take on American history, placing the tiny rodent at the center of events that shaped the nation. Rather than merely observing, the mouse actively influences Franklin’s thinking, quietly nudging him toward pivotal decisions. The story blends historical figures with whimsical invention, suggesting that some of America’s founding moments may owe their existence to a most unlikely little hero.
