For eight years, a camera stays fixed on a single city block, watching the Shaw family navigate addiction and unstable housing in a motel district known for crime. As California’s High-Speed Rail Project forces them out, a fragile chance at stability finally emerges. A raw, street-level portrait of post-industrial America, unflinching and intimate.
