In a quaint French village, a mother-daughter duo sets up a chocolate shop, sparking tension in a community bound by strict religious values. Their arrival symbolizes liberation and pleasure, which the townsfolk resist. The situation intensifies when a band of gypsies arrives by boat, clashing with the Mayor's narrow-minded views and escalating the town's conflict.
