Stan and Ollie take on the ambitious challenge of constructing a house within a single day. Their efforts culminate in a surprisingly completed structure, but just as they celebrate their success, a bird lands on the roof, triggering a catastrophic collapse. The homeowner, understandably frustrated, demands a refund for the botched job. Hilarity ensues as the duo navigates the consequences of their ill-fated project, showcasing their trademark slapstick humor and comedic timing throughout this classic silent film.
