Devil's Playground (2002)

Devil's Playground offers a compelling glimpse into a lesser-known facet of Amish culture. At the heart of the documentary is Rumspringa, a crucial period when Amish teens step outside their strict upbringing to experience life beyond their community before making a choice about church membership. Through personal stories and candid interviews, the film captures the emotional struggles and freedoms these young individuals face as they navigate the allure of the outside world versus their deep-rooted traditions. It’s a profound exploration of identity, faith, and the quest for self-discovery.
