White Cargo (1973)

David Jason shines in this low-budget comedy, taking the lead as a whimsical daydreamer who unexpectedly embarks on a wild adventure. The film, released five years before his iconic role in 'The Odd Job,' showcases his comedic talents alongside the often-overlooked Imogen Hassall. Adding to the charm, a young Dave Prowse makes a memorable cameo, reminiscent of his role in 'Callan' rather than his later infamous portrayal of Darth Vader. This quirky romp highlights the early cinematic landscape of the 1970s, capturing a unique blend of humor and escapism.
