Neurotypical offers a groundbreaking look at autism through the experiences of those on the spectrum. Featuring four-year-old Violet, teenager Nicholas, and adult Paula, the narrative follows their unique journeys at critical junctures in their lives. Their interactions with family, friends, and society illuminate the complexities of their perceptual and behavioral differences. As they navigate a world dominated by neurotypical standards, the film highlights innovative adaptations from both autistic individuals and the non-autistic community, prompting viewers to reconsider the definitions of normalcy and humanity itself.
