"Shooting the Darkness" captures the harrowing experiences of men who transformed into war photographers amidst the turmoil of Northern Ireland. Expecting to document weddings and joyous occasions, they instead found themselves capturing the stark realities of violence and despair from 1968 to 1998. Through their lenses, they reveal the profound suffering of everyday citizens caught in the crossfire during one of the region's most tumultuous periods. Their poignant images serve as a haunting testament to the human cost of conflict, illuminating the harsh truths often hidden behind the shadows of war.
