David Clemens, a troubled teenager, is gripped by an intense fear of dying from physical contact. Concerned for his safety, his controlling mother admits him to a psychiatric facility for adolescents. Initially isolated from both patients and staff, David's world shifts when he meets 15-year-old Lisa, who battles her own demons through multiple personalities—one that communicates exclusively in rhyme and another that cannot speak at all. Their budding connection offers hope and understanding as they navigate their complex emotional landscapes together.
