Set in the 17th century, two Portuguese Jesuit priests embark on a harrowing journey to Japan, driven by the hope of finding their mentor, who is believed to have renounced his faith. As they navigate a land hostile to their beliefs, they face immense challenges while striving to spread Catholicism. Their quest not only tests their faith but also confronts them with profound questions about belief, sacrifice, and the price of devotion in a world that seems indifferent to their mission.
