Rescuing Rex

Award-winning documentary filmmaker Leora Eisen explores the growing trend of international dog adoptions in Rescuing Rex. As millennials increasingly choose to adopt homeless dogs over purchasing from breeders, the film raises essential questions about the impact on animals, their caregivers, and society as a whole. Through engaging stories of both humans and dogs, audiences are taken on a journey from Taiwan's mountains to Toronto's airport and from a Texas kennel to a Vancouver rooftop. This thought-provoking documentary sheds light on a movement fueled by compassion and adorable puppy images on social media.
