Anna, a bright twelve-year-old, shares a deep, unspoken connection with her deaf mother. Their life is simple and full of love, but when Anna starts high school, the humility of their home becomes a source of painful embarrassment. This spirited debut stays close to its heroines, weaving a story of fierce female solidarity, budding feminism, and a soundtrack bursting with catchy tunes that celebrate their resilient bond.
