Love It, Leave It offers a vibrant snapshot of Midwestern America during the waning days of the Love Generation. Opening with the audacious Naked City beauty pageant in Roselawn, Indiana, where unabashed contestants celebrate body positivity, the short film transitions to Chicago. Here, families wrapped in American flags struggle against the sweltering heat during a downtown parade, highlighting the juxtaposition of traditional values and contemporary counterculture. This 14-minute visual journey captures the eclectic spirit and complex identity of a region at a cultural crossroads.
