Set against the backdrop of December 1941, this film creatively responds to the shocking attack on Pearl Harbor with a striking visual and auditory experience. Utilizing Stravinsky's music, it opens with a hammer smashing an egg, unleashing a vivid palette of red, white, and blue. As blue paint drips and small bulbs hover, dark hues expand across the screen. The composition intensifies with flames engulfing the bulbs, which shatter to reveal their fragile filaments. This surreal sequence captures the chaos and emotional turmoil of a nation on the brink of war.
