Wheel of Ashes

A young man grapples with his existential crisis against the backdrop of Saint-Germain-des-Prés. Through a sparse narrative, the film explores themes of self-discovery and desire, encapsulated in the poignant words, "As dust hides a mirror, lust hides the self." Pierre Clementi's character navigates a world filled with temptation, yet his inner turmoil remains shrouded in mystery. The vivid portrayal of the neighborhood contrasts with the obscurity of his emotional landscape, creating a haunting exploration of identity and human experience.
