From vaudeville stages to modern revival, this documentary traces burlesque's hundred-year arc of glitter and grit. Host Leslie Zemeckis, a seasoned cabaret performer, guides viewers through the art form's rise, its near-extinction, and its current renaissance. Rare archival photographs, film reels, and vintage advertisements capture how burlesque continuously reinvented itself, fueled by an enduring public fascination with the risqué, even as censors and moral crusaders tried to stamp it out.
