Detective Rita Cates catches a homicide case involving a murdered Las Vegas stripper. The inquiry quickly spirals into something twisted when she identifies the main suspect: a deranged former police officer she'd once shared a steamy affair with. That relationship had pushed her husband to take his own life, yet she still resumes the romance. Caught up in desire, she puts the investigation, her job, and her very survival on the line.
