Set against the backdrop of a transforming Portugal in 1975, Al Berto, a young gay artist, navigates life in a conservative coastal town. As the country grapples with the aftermath of dictatorship, Al Berto and his vibrant circle of friends represent a generation brimming with creativity and optimism. However, despite their hopes for a more accepting future, the societal climate remains unwelcoming to his love story. The film beautifully captures the tension between personal freedom and societal constraints during a pivotal moment in Portugal's history.
