Bear Ye One Another's Burden...

In the early 1950s, an unlikely bond forms between two men in a secluded sanatorium for tuberculosis patients. Josef Heiliger, an officer in the People's Police, and Hubertus Koschenz, a young Protestant curate, find themselves sharing a room due to their illness. Their drastically different backgrounds and beliefs create tension, as their only shared experience is their fight against consumption.
