The Encampments

At Columbia University, a wave of student activism erupts as they establish the Gaza Solidarity Encampment, aiming to compel their institution to sever ties with U.S. and Israeli arms manufacturers. The narrative centers on the primary organizers, who find themselves under intense scrutiny. As they navigate violent police pushback, risk academic suspension, and confront mounting pressure from Congress, their determination is tested. The media frenzy further complicates their mission, yet these passionate advocates remain resolute in their pursuit of divestment, willing to face any obstacle to achieve their goal. Through their journey, the film explores themes of resistance, accountability, and the power of collective action in the face of adversity.
