America's transformation from the free-spirited era of Easy Rider to the turbulent political landscape of Donald Trump raises pressing questions about lost dreams and disillusionment. This reflective road movie traverses the nation from New Jersey to California, capturing the sentiments of those who experienced the vibrant 1960s and 70s. As they ponder whether they squandered their ideals, the film paints a poignant portrait of a nation grappling with its identity, one year into the electoral campaign. With its Cinemascope visuals, it highlights an America caught between nostalgia and an uncertain future.
