Set in 1890s India, the story unfolds in the village of Champaner, where an oppressive British commander imposes crippling taxes on the local populace. In a bold move to defy his tyranny, the villagers accept a challenge to play a cricket match against him and his troops, with their future hanging in the balance. As they rally together, the community transforms from a group of oppressed individuals into a united team, determined not only to win the match but also to reclaim their dignity and hope for a better life.
