Scots officer Geoffrey Richter-Douglas finds himself torn as World War I erupts. Though loyal to Britain, his Bavarian lineage and fond childhood summers in Germany complicate his allegiance. When approached by a German spy with a defection offer, Geoffrey chooses to inform his superiors, who surprisingly encourage him to accept her proposal and become an Allied agent. As he navigates the familiar landscape of Germany, he confronts the complexities of loyalty aboard a groundbreaking Zeppelin on a covert mission to Scotland, one that could sway the war's fate.
