NUKED (2023) reveals the long-lasting impact of the 67 nuclear detonations conducted by the US over Bikini Atoll during the Cold War. This poignant documentary highlights the ongoing plight of the displaced Bikinian people, who continue their fight for justice against the backdrop of climate change's new threats. With meticulously restored archival footage, the film brings to life the voices of those who experienced the bombings firsthand, contrasting their personal stories with the official narratives of the nuclear program. NUKED serves as a crucial counterpoint to contemporary discussions around nuclear history, including this summer's Oppenheimer.
