Tsar Nicholas II, the last ruler of Russia, struggles with his inability to connect with his subjects, leading to widespread discontent. As revolution sweeps through the country, he and his family face a dramatic fall from grace. Ultimately, they are dethroned and sent into exile in the harsh Siberian wilderness, where their royal legacy hangs in the balance. The film poignantly captures the tragic decline of a dynasty and the personal turmoil of a family stripped of power and privilege amidst the chaos of a nation in upheaval.
