Gerrard Winstanley, a fervent leader of a 17th-century religious community, champions the idea of communal land ownership. His radical beliefs clash with the established authorities, including both governmental and ecclesiastical powers. As he strives to promote equality and justice through shared resources, Winstanley finds himself embroiled in intense struggles against those who defend traditional property rights. His journey illustrates the profound tensions between spiritual conviction and societal norms during a time of significant upheaval.
