Juan Garcia stands at a pivotal moment in his life, navigating the challenges of a gang-dominated neighborhood. His influences are starkly contrasting: his sister Angie, a determined single mother striving to break into the white-collar world, and his uncle Manny, a former gang member turned actor, typecast as criminals after prison. As Juan grapples with typical teenage distractions, particularly his interest in girls, he remains oblivious to the harsh realities of the justice system's intolerance for gang ties, leaving his future uncertain and fraught with potential pitfalls.
