In 1933, strict rules dictated how young women should act, but Maren, at seventeen, refused to conform. Her rebellious nature lands her in the Sprogø institution, meant to soften her defiance. Instead, her fiery spirit awakens something in Sørine, who has spent six years there, quietly accepting its rigid norms. A slow, powerful connection grows between them, defying the institution's expectations. This bond, once forged, becomes unbreakable, and its influence will echo through the rest of their lives.
