Having distinguished himself during the French and Indian War, Benjamin Martin yearns for a peaceful existence as a farmer, distancing himself from the violence of war. However, when his son Gabriel joins the fight for independence against British forces, Benjamin feels compelled to re-enter the fray, driven by a father's love and a desire to safeguard his son’s future.
