Sherente Harris, a two-spirit genderqueer teen from Rhode Island's Narragansett tribe, refuses to stay silent about being a queer Indigenous person in a society stuck on strict gender binaries. With courage and defiance, she pushes back against the narrow expectations placed on her, carving out space to exist authentically. Her story is a powerful stand for visibility, identity, and the right to define oneself beyond the limits others impose.
