Marine ecologist Dr. Erik Cordes embarks on a daunting deep-sea journey to discover "supercoral," a remarkable variant of Lophelia pertusa. This extraordinary strain displays a rare genetic adaptability, enabling it to flourish in the increasingly acidic waters of our oceans. As Cordes navigates the challenges of the abyss, he confronts the implications of climate change on marine ecosystems and the potential for this resilient coral to offer hope in the fight for oceanic survival. The expedition becomes a gripping exploration of nature's resilience against the backdrop of environmental crisis.
