Amidst the turmoil of the 1960s, Misuzu, a disconnected high school girl from a dysfunctional family, seeks solace with her jaded brother, Ryo, and his group of friends. Together, they navigate a world filled with rebellion, spending their time in a dimly-lit jazz café where they immerse themselves in a hedonistic lifestyle that includes sex, drugs, and alcohol. Misuzu's journey reflects her search for belonging and identity as she grapples with the chaos around her and the darker aspects of youth culture.
