Set against the backdrop of Madagascar in the late 1960s and early 1970s, soldiers at a French military airbase enjoy their final taste of colonial life. Young Thomas, not yet ten, finds inspiration in his beloved Fantômette stories, shaping his perception of the world. As he navigates the complexities of his environment, his innocent curiosity clashes with the realities of a changing society. Through Thomas's eyes, the film captures the tension between childhood wonder and the impending end of an era, offering a poignant reflection on identity and transformation.
