A young boy once wielded a magical watch that allowed him to control Yo-kai, but adulthood stripped him of that ability. As he buried the watch in a time-warped void, his ordinary life took an unexpected turn 30 years later. A comet's approach heralds chaos as the sinister Yo-kai virus, Onimaro, infects humanity's dark desires, spiraling out of control. The fate of the world rests on the shoulders of a new hero chosen by the Yo-kai Watch. To combat this looming threat, the fragile connection between humans and Yo-kai must be restored.
