A chilling episode from Russia's past unfolds in this documentary, which revisits a harrowing event from 1933. Joseph Stalin exiled 6,000 "undesirable" individuals from Moscow and Leningrad to a bleak Siberian island, leaving them without food or proper clothing. Years later, the film returns to this forsaken location, uncovering the haunting legacy of survival and despair that still lingers. Through poignant testimonies and historical insights, the documentary sheds light on the brutal realities faced by those condemned to this chilling fate. It serves as a stark reminder of the human cost of political repression.
