An unforgettable blend of humor and inspiration, Call Me Lucky highlights the life of Barry Crimmins, a sharp-witted comic whose unapologetic political stance and love for beer marked his career. During the 1970s and 80s, he played a pivotal role in mentoring a new wave of standup comedians. Yet, behind his tough exterior lies a deep-seated anger rooted in childhood trauma. This pain ultimately propelled him from the comedy scene to activism, using his voice to address the injustices he faced and advocate for change in society.
