In the midst of World War II, film studios created "all-star" productions showcasing nearly every star in their roster, often appearing as themselves in lively musical performances and comedic sketches. These films aimed to uplift the spirits of both soldiers abroad and civilians back home. Universal Pictures joined the trend with their own star-studded offering, featuring a remarkable lineup that included Donald O'Connor, the Andrews Sisters, Orson Welles, W.C. Fields, George Raft, Marlene Dietrich, and many more Universal talents.
