Producer Pierre Delacroix, disillusioned by the network's dismissal of his sitcom concept, concocts a ludicrous plan to get himself fired. He pitches a modern-day minstrel show, fully expecting it to be rejected. To his shock, the network greenlights the project, and it unexpectedly turns into a cultural phenomenon. As Delacroix grapples with the consequences of his creation, he confronts the harsh realities of race and entertainment, leading to a provocative commentary on stereotypes and societal expectations in the world of television.
