Rory, an ambitious entrepreneur, relocates his American wife and children to England, seeking fresh business prospects. However, their escape from the comfort of American suburbia leads them into the harsh realities of a stagnant 1980s Britain. As they grapple with the overwhelming costs of maintaining an English manor, the strain begins to fracture their family bonds. The once hopeful journey quickly spirals into a struggle for survival in a foreign land, testing their resilience and relationships in ways they never anticipated.
