Staples, a prosperous plant manager from Ohio, arrives in New York to assume an executive role at Ramsey & Co. He quickly bonds with Briggs, the seasoned vice president. However, tensions rise as Walter Ramsey, the new CEO, covertly sets Staples up as Briggs’ successor.
