Saint Peter emerges as a compelling figure, grappling with his role as a leader from the crucifixion of Jesus through his own martyrdom. The narrative unfolds in two parts: the first chronicles the early days of Christianity, highlighting the initial fears, the transformative Pentecost, Saul's conversion, and the Apostles' spread across the world. In the latter half, an elderly Peter arrives in Rome to reunite with Paul, only to face the turmoil following Paul's arrest and eventual death. Amidst the challenges, Peter's faith and memories of Jesus guide him, while the impact of Christianity reverberates through the life of Roman aristocrat Persius.
