In 1960, a team of four American scientists embarks on an expedition to a newly discovered planet within Earth's solar system, hoping to assess its potential for colonization. Upon arrival, they are greeted by an oxygen-rich atmosphere and a vibrant, Earth-like forest teeming with familiar wildlife. A pristine freshwater lake further hints at the planet's viability for human habitation. As they explore this alien world, the team grapples with the implications of their findings and the challenges that lie ahead in establishing a new home among the stars.
