Antigone stands resolute against the oppressive rule of Creon, the Theban tyrant, determined to honor her slain brother, Polynices. Despite the grave consequences, she boldly defies Creon's orders, ensuring that his body receives the burial rites it deserves rather than being left to rot and desecrate. Her unwavering commitment to family and justice sets off a chain of events that challenge the very foundations of power and morality in Thebes, illustrating the timeless struggle between individual conviction and state law.
