At twelve, Roxane relocates with her family to a seemingly perfect suburban neighborhood, only to have her world shattered by a brutal sexual assault. Struggling beneath the weight of that trauma, she finds refuge in food, a coping mechanism that carries her through decades. What follows is a lifelong reckoning: an attempt to make peace with her own body, recover the voice that was taken from her, and push back against a culture that reduces women to how they look.
